| Description: |
Police work involving
protection of life and property on campus,
prevention and detection of crime, general
maintenance of law and order, patrolling assigned
areas, traffic enforcement, accident reporting,
and criminal investigation. Must be able to
analyze situations quickly and objectively,
determine proper course of action, deal with
situations firmly, courteously and tactfully
with respect to others, and be able to react
quickly and calmly under emergency situations. |

| Qualifications: |
High school diploma or GED required. Must
be 21 years of age and have a valid
Georgia driver's license. Physical and
written assessments administered as part
of the selection process. Georgia P.O.S.T.
certification preferred or ability to
fully comply with the requirements for
peace officer certification according
to Georgia P.O.S.T. within four months
of employment. Employment is contingent
upon passing psychological test, polygraph
test, extensive background check, drug
test, and physical examination. Applicants
cannot have any felony convictions.
Discharge from previous military service
cannot be less than Honorable.

-DD214 must be submitted with application
for applicants with prior military service
